Sentencing Tables are intended to be used as a guide only.

Individual cases should be read if they are to be relied upon.

Unless otherwise stated section numbers refer to (NSW) Crimes Act 1900.

How to find Sentencing Tables

When you arrive on this page, you will receive the full list of Sentencing Tables.

You can use the search and filter feature on the left of this page to refine your results, and help you find a particular page or document:

• Enter a keyword into the search box (example: steal) to return results that include this keyword in the page or document.
• Use the offence and court filter dropdown to select items that are tagged with those categories.
• Use the select dates dropdown to choose a start date and end date, and refine results by release date (note: date refinement currently isn't available for use together with keyword search).
• The submit button will activate the search based on the filters you’ve chosen.
• The reset button clears the search filters so you can start again.
